The front design

Open the designer and create your own front artwork. Your account name and order details are not inserted automatically. The saved design you approve supplies the wording, pictures and placement used for your postcard.

Start with one main idea. An author name and a brief message can be easier to read than a long paragraph on a small card. You could use a pen name with a manuscript completion date, a short dedication or an original illustration. How to customize your author postcard

Choose Customize product, then add your words or upload artwork you have permission to print. Only the front is customizable. Keep names, dates and important details inside the 5 mm safe-area guide. For an edge-to-edge background, extend the image through the 3 mm bleed. Use clear, high-resolution artwork prepared at 300 DPI where possible, and avoid tiny lettering that will be difficult to read at A6 size.

Check the preview carefully before saving. Review spelling, punctuation, image quality and the space around each element. Make sure any placeholder text has been replaced with your intended wording. Save the completed design before adding the postcard to your cart. The preview guides and blank product photograph are there to help with placement; they are not printed as part of your artwork.

Care and useful details

Keep the postcard dry and store it flat between writing sessions. Avoid bending the corners or rubbing the printed surface against rough objects. Screen colours and printed colours can differ slightly, and small trimming variations are normal. If you add handwriting anywhere on the card, test your pen discreetly first and let the ink dry fully on the glossy stock. A separate note is another easy option.
